Beer Passion Weekend in Antwerp

Hurry over to De Handelsbeurs this weekend for the 24th edition of the Beer Passion Weekend!
We’re heading into another terribly hot weekend here in Antwerp, and there’s no better way to fight the heat than with a nice cold beer in hand. And, we happen to have found the perfect event for you to do just that, the 24th edition of the Beer Passion Weekend!
The Beer Passion Weekend returns to De Handelsbeurs
After 20 years on De Groenplaats, the Beer Passion Weekend now happily returns to the newly restored Handelsbeurs at the Lange Nieuwstraat. Ben Vinken himself, the organiser of the event, is also very glad with the move: “This edition feels like coming home! De Handelsbeurs has now been restored and exudes such class, it’s the perfect place to let our unique Belgian beers shine.”
At this beautiful location, there’s 200 different Belgian beers for you to taste, of which 90 are draught beers. Pick your favourite, or try a new one, and enjoy the live music and riveting lectures.
A Bite To Eat
With all that beer going around, you’ll need a bite to eat as well, a classic Belgian bite to eat of course. In this Antwerp ‘beer cathedral’ you can get authentic Belgian meat stew, vol-au-vent and specially prepared herring. Combine your meal with a fitting beer, or your favourite, and enjoy!
The Rise of Alcohol-Free Beer
Everyone will have noticed by now that alcohol-free beer has been on the rise for a few years now, and this is no different at the Beer Passion Weekend. Every stand will have at least one 0.0% beer. So whether you’re the designated driver, never drink alcohol, or just don’t feel like it this weekend, everyone will still be able to enjoy a delicious Belgian beer.
