To help you find your way in this plant-based paradise, we made a list of our favourite hotspots.

HUMM

At HUMM in Zurenborg, you’ll find delicious dishes inspired by the Middle-Eastern cuisine presented in a colourful and tasteful way. You would never know they’re completely plant-based. The creamy hummus is a must-try! The alcohol-free drinks are also absolutely delicious. Definitely try the ice tea and kombucha. HUMM is the ideal spot for a nice lunch with cosy tables inside and on the patio. If you prefer take-out, you should try the deli right next to the restaurant!

Bakkerij Funk

Start your day at Funk at Zuid with a cup of coffee, expertly roasted by DOK Roastery. Enjoy the changing selection of vegan pastry and the regular favourites like croissants and chocolate rolls. The other breakfast options are yoghurt or a deliciously creamy oatmeal bowl. Funk also offers savoury dishes, like soups and toasted homemade sourdough, vegan or non-vegan. At night, you can eat amazing pizza’s and sip a glass of natural wine to end your day.

Falafel Tof

Falafal Tof offers tasty, juicy falafel with a side of salad, bread or fries. For the small price of €8 you get a crispy sandwich with falafel, as many toppings as you want, handmade fries and a soda. You can spruce up your sandwich or dish with one of the 25 homemade salads. Looking for something a little healthier? Choose the falafel dish without sandwich but with beverage for only €6. Top everything off with extra’s like hummus or feta. You can eat in or take your meal to go. Whatever you pick, Falafel Tof is a must-try for delicious and healthy fast food.

This Antwerp restaurant’s revolves around delicious rolls, that are completely plant-based. These rolls were an instant hit in Antwerp. Have a Roll became so popular that they could soon expand to Amsterdam and Utrecht. Which roll are you trying? The classic cinnamon roll? Or do you want a seasonal roll like the snickers or pistachio roll?

Le Pain Quotidien

Le Pain Quotidien is a well-known breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant with locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and many other countries. You can enjoy the wide selection of breakfast items, like bio bread, vegan pastry, soy yogurt and bio coffee and tea. For the lunch items, Le Pain Quotidien often uses bio wheat bread as the base for their tartines (open sandwiches) or as a side with soups, salades and quiches. There are many vegetarian and vegan options, clearly marked on the menu as ‘100% botanical’. All bio bread is vegan, except for the brioche.
